Handmade tiles

At the entrance to Felicity’s studio, Potter by the Sea, hand made tiles welcome visitors. These tiles were inspired by the plants and animals of Malabar Headland.

Tile making process

Tiles are rolled out and sculptural elements added. After the tiles are dry, colour underglazes are applied. The tiles are bisque fired in a kiln and then glaze fired.
